HIGHLAND LAKES AGGIE MOM’s CLUB

MINUTES OF REGULAR AGGIE MOM MEETING April 14, 2022

  1. The April meeting of the Highland Lakes Aggie Mom’s Club was held at Elements 7 in Marble Falls. Present were Judy Miller, Julia Adams, Jennifer Lindner, Reene Bradshaw, Michelle Floyd, Lori Pool, Suzanna Dollar, Chrystal Whiteside, Shelly Hanneman and Bonnie Wallace.
  2. Julia & Jennifer called the meeting to order at 6:38pm.
  3. Judy Miller gave a brief Treasurer’s Report and advised that the current register balance after Boutique is $9,764.08.
  4. Minutes from the March 3rd meeting had been emailed. Corrections were made to specify that the club had designated April 8 & 9 as tax free days.

– March 3, 2022 minutes. Michelle Floyd moved to accept the March minutes, as amended; Suzanna Dollar seconded. All present voted to approve minutes and motion carried.

V. Old Business

  1. Boutique

    Judy gave a thorough update on Boutique, and advised that revenue from Boutique totaled $2,442.81 for both merchandise and raffle tickets. Reimbursement for the Adirondack chairs has not been subtracted from this amount. Reene proposed leftover signs be donated, and club try to identify an item to be known for each year.

  2. Bylaws/Amendment change
    Reene had emailed proposed bylaws/amendment changes to all previously (except Chrystal). After some discussion, Bonnie moved to accept the bylaws/amendments as proposed. Michelle seconded the motion. All present voted to approve and motion carried.
  3. Officer Nominations
    The slate of officers presented was Reene Bradshaw (President), Suzanna Dollar (Vice President), Chrystal Whiteside (Secretary) and Shelly Hanneman (Treasurer). There were no nominations from the

floor. Suzanna Dollar moved to accept the slate of officers as presented. Bonnie seconded the motion. All present voted to approve and motion carried. Congratulations were given to the new club officers! The minutes reflect that Judy Miller, Jennifer Lindner and Julia Adams will be removed from First United bank account and new officers will be added as soon as possible.

d. Website Updates
Reene gave an update on the new website, which is virtually ready. She advised that a portal had been added, duplicating one on the Federation website, with pertinent information for students/parents.

VI. New Business

  1. Raffle

    Judy illustrated flyers and ticket list sheets she had prepared and requested that all present take some to sell. Raffle items will be taken to Muster on April 21st. Drawing will be held on April 30th.

  2. New Student/New Aggie Mom gift bags
    Michelle advised that she has prepared the new student/new Aggie mom gift bags to present to incoming Class of 2026 students and will coordinate for distribution.
  1. Traditions
    Jennifer shared information about the Bonfire Memorial. All were touched.
  2. Aggie Brags/Aggie Moments
    All moms present shared their brags and sorrows. Though she was not present, the club shared in Nicole Poage’s brag that her son will be Miss Reveille’s handler for 2022-2023! Reene advised that Miss Reveille will be coming to town on June 29th or 30th!
  3. Adjournment
    The May meeting will be held on Thursday, May 5th at a location to be determined. Julia adjourned the meeting at 7:50pm after advising that Goody Bags will be stuffed immediately after adjournment and then all are welcome to go to Rbar afterwards for refreshments.
