Members Present: Reene Bradshaw, Susanna Dollar, Shelly Hanneman, Lori Pool, Judy Miller, Chrystal Whiteside, Andrea Rosenbusch, Shannon Wilson, Shannon Meyer
Minute Approval
Shannon Wilson made a motion to approve the minutes, and Susanna Dollar seconded the motion. Motion passed
Virtual Boutique summary
- Medium and small charcuterie boards were popular.
- Acacia color sold best.
- There are still 19-20 in stock.
- Will buy more to be sold at the Aggie Moms boutique.
Walkway of Lights summary
Despite poor weather conditions, the club did make a profit of $662. 17 volunteers showed up to work.
Spring Boutique
This will occur during Parents’ weekend(April 14-16).
We will need several volunteers to work because we will have two booths(one for the raffle and one for charcuterie boards).
Raffle (Aggie ring and Adirondack chairs)
Tickets will be sold for 5 for $40. The actual drawing will take place at the end of April.
Scholarship/Committee
The club will give out three scholarships starting this year.
- One scholarship for $3000(anonymous donor for 3 years)
- One scholarship for $2000(anonymous donor for 3 years)
- Club will fund one scholarship for $1000
*A selection committee will consist of three people. This year the committee will be Reene Bradshaw, Dannette Ginger, and one more person.
The scholarships will be awarded in June, and the club will use the same form that the Highland Lakes Aggie Club uses.
Susanna Dollar made the motion to approve the above guidelines, and Lori Pool seconded the motion. Motion passed
Treasurer Report and Budget Approval
Shelly shared the updated finances for the club. Andrea Rosenbusch made a motion to approve the budget, and Shannon Meyer seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Ring of Honor/vote/standing rules
Reene read the wording for Ring of Honor that will be added to the club’s standing rules. The club will purchase a paver to be placed on Texas A&M University campus. The club hopes to honor the first member at the May meeting.
Book Awards
The six winners are Hudson McBryde, Noah Sample, Lillian Rosenbush, Jason Bradshaw, Ashton Floyd, and Isaiah Denney.
Spring Goody Bags
Susanna and Shelly are working to put together spring goody bags. The plan is to have a duffle bag and a frisbee. More details will be shared next month.
Request from Pamela Marshall
Pamela Marshall is asking our club to email to request that 15 additional US flags are added to Kyle Field in honor of newly discovered Aggies that were in World War I. Reene will forward the email to members.
Birthdays – Lori Pool texts each Aggie Student on their birthday, and Susanna Dollar sends cards to the Aggie Moms.
Traditions – Susanna Dollar shared the history of the MSC(Memorial Student Center).
Aggie Moments – Several moms shared updates on their children.
Important dates:
- April 1 – Highland Lakes Aggie Club Golf Tournament (volunteers)
- April 6 – Meeting, Element 7, Goody Bag Stuffing/Election
- April 14-16 – Parent’s Weekend, Spring Boutique (volunteers needed)
- April 27 – Spring Goody Bag Distribution
