HIGHLAND LAKES AGGIE MOM’s CLUB

MINUTES OF REGULAR AGGIE MOM MEETING September 2, 2021

  1. The September meeting of the Highland Lakes Aggie Mom’s Club was held at Cooper’s BBQ in Llano. Members and guests began arriving at 5:30pm, went through the serving line and began eating their dinner. Those present included Judy Miller, Jennifer Lindner, Julia Adams, Shawna Tisdale, Shelly Hanneman, Stacy Elwartowski, Renee Kroese, KD Keller, Keesha Fly, Lori Pool, Nicole Poage, Reene Bradshaw (who brought our guest speaker, Jordan Kuhn) and Bonnie Wallace.
  2. Julia called the meeting to order at 6pm by introducing herself, welcoming all in attendance and thanking them for coming. Reene then introduced our guest speaker, Jordan Kuhn, who spoke for approximately 25 minutes and informed us what is happening at the Vet School, the A&M Foundation and took some questions.
  3. Judy Miller gave a brief Treasurer’s Report and advised that the current bank balance is $7,473.92 with no outstanding expenses. Bonnie moved to accept the Treasurer’s report. Julia seconded the motion. All present voted to approve and motion carried.
  4. The August minutes had been emailed. There were no corrections. Julia moved to accept the minutes; Judy seconded. All present voted to approve and motion carried.
  5. Old Business
    Bonnie advised that Jacob Hardin had passed away on August 6th and that his Silver Taps is scheduled for September 7th at College Station.
  6. New Business

a. Because of the bank balance, it was decided to designate 6 Book

Awards, which Jordan Kuhn selected. Winners were Molly Lindner, Nolan Keller, Grayson Poage, Jason Bradshaw, Isaiah Denney and Ethan Hanneman. A check for the Book Awards will be sent to A&M by Judy.

b. Jennifer and Julia advised that they are doing something different this year with the Calendar, including alternating locations for the meetings to reach more moms who have been unable to attend in the past. The Board will finalize the calendar, locations and times for all 2021-2022 meetings and email to all members.

  1. Traditions
    Jennifer informed us all about the traditions of Yell Leaders and Midnight Yell, in preparation for our October meeting when the Yell Leaders will join us via Zoom.
  2. Aggie Brags
    All present shared their Aggie Brags from the first week of Fall 2021!
  3. Door Prizes
    Door prizes, left over from the Howdy Party and added to, were awarded to Shelly Hanneman, Stacy Elwartowski, Lori Pool and Keesha Fly.
  4. Adjournment
    After gifting the Texas A&M Foundation $100 from our club and advising that the next meeting would be on October 7 at Outback Patio Furnishings in Marble Falls, Julia adjourned the meeting at 7:12pm.
